Song of the Month -Lead Me To The Cross

  "Lead Me To The Cross"

Savior I come
Quiet my soul remember
Redemption's hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

[Chorus:]
Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I
Tempted and trialed
Human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now you're risen

Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

[Chorus]

To your heart
To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart

[Chorus]

Wow, this song is so full of meaning! And it has meant a lot to me lately. 'Savior I come, quiet my soul.'  Too often, I allow myself to get caught up in the... 'storm' around me, forgetting to rest in God's arms. It helps me so much when I just take some time to myself and spend time in God's presence... quiet my soul before Him, and just rest. Think about His love, that He poured out for me. And when I think about laying myself down, getting 'rid' of myself, and counting everything I once held dear as lost, its scary. But when I do, thats when I feel the most safe, the most comfortable, the most happy. And to remember that Jesus became like us, He was tempted and tried, He became flesh to bear me sin and death, and He is now risen, is so comforting. My prayer right now is that I would be led to His heart... And I would be quieted and refreshed in His presence. And not only my prayer for me, but for all of y'all as well.    Be blessed!
