A couple of years ago I learned simple, child-like Christmas song. Called 'Christmas is a Time to Love'. It's simple in wording, and really, In meaning. But it's message is clear.So many times we get caught up the 'Christmas spirit', the hustle and bustle that turns into stress and grumpiness. What is Christmas really about? Isn't it about celebrating the gift God gave to us 2,000 years ago, the most sacrificial, loving gift in all history? Isn't it about love? About spending time with family and rejoicing in that eternal gift? About spreading the news of that gift to the hopeless? It doesn't really matter if things don't go as planned, does it? It doesn't matter of things aren't 'perfectly in tune', does it? This Christmas I'm going to try not to get caught up in the 'push and shove', and instead 'keep my eyes above, cuz Christmas is a time to love'.

We often start to worry, and people get upset
if things don't all go right on Christmas day. But
What we should remember In all the push and
shove, is Christmas is a time to love.

Maybe things don't sound right, or look the way
they should. And maybe they're not perfectly in
tune. It really doesn't matter, let's keep our eyes
