You Raise Me Up

Hey! So I know this is the soonest I have ever done another post after the last one, but I really wanted to do it, so:)...
 This month's song is gonna be, (you guessed it:) 'You Raise Me Up' by Westlife. It has been one of my favorites recently (notice I said ONE of my faves:) and I've been singing it and listening to it quite a bit lately.

              You Raise Me Up

 When I am down and oh my soul so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then I am still, and wait here in the silence;
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

 You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up - to more than I can be.

 You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains.
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas.
I am strong when I am on your shoulders.
You raise me up - to more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up - to more than I can be.

The song was written by and for Løvland himself and performed for the very first time at the funeral of Løvland's mother. Here he noted “there's something about the song people are embracing - which becomes emotionally strong. [...] I believe people think of it as a song they use for their own stuff.”.[3][4]  Wikipedia

I really like this song. It has a powerful message of surrender. When we are 'still and wait here in the silence until you come and sit awhile with me' God speaks to us and lifts us up on strength that isn't our own. He carries us and makes us more than we can be.

 Hope this was a blessing to someone:) have an awesome week!!

1 Samuel 2:8
"He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap To make them sit with nobles, And inherit a seat of honor; For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, And He set the world on them.
